Divorce: benefit entitlements are also shared
Since the Pension Fund savings are part of the assets, they are divided between both partners in the event of a divorce.
If an insured member divorces, the divorced partner receives a part of the Pension Fund savings. The level of vested benefits transferred out is determined by a legal judgment. The existing retirement savings are thereby reduced. However, the insured member may pay this share back into the Pension Fund at any time.
