In July, the Syngenta Pension Fund achieved a return of 1.1%.

In May and June the financial markets continued to recover and the Syngenta Pension Fund achieved returns of 1.2% and 0.8% respectively.
The funding ratio at the end of June was 111%.
The first loosening steps, the so-called “Phase 2”, ensured a gradual recovery of the financial markets. In April, the Syngenta Pension Fund achieved a return of 3.66 % and at the end of April the funding ratio was 108.7 %.
As a result of the spread of the coronavirus, the stock markets slumped sharply in March 2020 and market value losses resulted in a significant reduction in the funding ratio to around 106 %. Fluctuations in asset values have occurred repeatedly in the past. We are therefore convinced that, thanks to our good financial situation at the end of 2019 and our robust and broadly diversified investment strategy, we will overcome the Corona crisis in the long term.
